15 Days Grand Discounted Expedition in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival & Hotel transfer

Our professional guide will be waiting to give you a warm welcome to the pearl of Africa at the airport. The guide will also give you a brief orientation about the trip as he transfers you to the hotel. Upon checking in, you will be served a very delicious dinner, and overnight as you prepare for the next big day.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After a very delicious early morning breakfast, embark to a 305 km journey to Murchison falls national park, Uganda’s largest and most visited national park. Have a stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track the white rhinos. Nothing thrills like following these huge land mammals and watching them carry on their daily lives. From here proceed to Masindi legendary town for lunch and then drive straight to Murchison falls national park.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Waking up will be very early in the morning, embark on the safari vehicle for a morning game drive in Murchison falls national park. The game drive takes you so close to the lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, oribis, Uganda kobs, topis and many others. You will have amazing sceneries of the park’s extensive savanna grasslands.

After having your lunch, head for an exciting afternoon boat cruise on River Nile. You will ride till the bottom of the falls and see the one of the strongest waterfalls in the whole world. On your way to the bottom of the falls, animals like Hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and other common animals are a common sight. You will also see a lot of birds and mammals hydrating on the river banks.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Rise to an early morning breakfast. Upon completion, checkout o the lodge and go for a long 9 hour drive to Kibale national park via Fort portal where you will stop for lunch. Kibale forest national park is a home to over 13 species of primate’s most common ones being chimpanzees. The Park also harbors over 325 bird species. Upon arrival, you will check in to your accommodation facility then have dinner and an overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi Wetland Swamp Walk

Have an early morning breakfast meal and report to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. From here, you will head into the forest to look for chimpanzees and when you locate them, you have 1 hour to spend around them before trekking back to your starting point.

After lunch, you will visit the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a prime birders destination in Uganda. This 3 – 4 hour walk rewards you with sights of so many birds. After here, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up to an early morning breakfast, check out and head towards the west to Queen Elizabeth national park, medley of wonders. This is a home to a number of wildlife including over 600 bird species. The mammals include elephants, buffaloes, and lions among others. While on this journey, your eyes will be fed with the beauty of Rwenzori ranges. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Morning game drive & Afternoon boat cruise

Have breakfast and drive to the Kasenyi sector of the park for your morning game drive. You will see so many lions, warthogs, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes and more. Depending on your luck of the day, you could stumble on a few leopards (rare sight) as well.

Have lunch at the lodge and go for a lifetime afternoon boat cruise on the wild Kazinga channel. This cruise is one of the best in Uganda. The channel is dotted with crocodiles, hippos and several more mammals that stand at the water banks. From here, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector

Have an early morning heavy breakfast, and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park via the ishasha. With the guidance of professional guides, you will search out for the tree climbing lions up resting in the tree branches; it is very safe and fun watching. Then proceed to Bwindi national park to visit and interact with mammals that possess 98%of human DNA and living in families, clans and troops. On arrival, you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Have breakfast and head to the forest for your gorilla trekking encounter. You will receive briefing from the park headquarters. This is the same place from where you will be assigned a gorilla group to trek. The allocation process is random.

Gorilla trekking takes between 2 – 6 hours depending on the mobility of the families and the pace of your group. This time includes a full hour encounter with the gorillas. After gorilla trekking, you will return to your lodge.

Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Have breakfast and immediately transfer to Lake Bunyonyi; a Lake with 29 islands. This is one of the most beautiful places in Uganda. You will have sunset boat cruise at the lake and visit a few of its 29 islands.

Day 11: Whole day at Lake Bunyonyi

Spend the whole day relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi. Optional activities include community visit, canoeing, Zip-Lining and more.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo national park in Mbarara. This park is home to zebras and other less dangerous animals. It is also home to various impalas, oribis, buffaloes, warthogs, and over 332 bird species. On arrival, go for an afternoon game drive through the park to expose you to the numerous wildlife species that call this park a home. Enjoy the atmosphere and take as many photos as possible. Check in to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight.

Day 13: Horseback Riding & Walking Safari

Transfer to Kampala having a stopover at the Uganda equator for photography and buying some souvenirs from the nearby craft shop. Have the water experiment that shows how water swirls to different directions in the opposite hemispheres of the world. Proceed to Kampala for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 14: Transfer to Jinja

Wake up in the morning for a cup of coffee and head to Jinja. An early morning 2 hour drive through Mabira forest, once Uganda’s largest tropical forest. Remember River Nile is Africa’s longest river moving over 4000 kilometers to over four different African countries. On arrival have lunch and have a boat ride to the source of the Nile.

Day 15: White water rafting & Departure

Rise up to an early morning breakfast before heading for white water rafting, an exceptional experience found only in Uganda at the source. Face the water rapids in a brave way. Upon your satisfaction, the guide will take you back to the accommodation for lunch and drives you to Entebbe to catch you flight.
