The 8 days Uganda safari is full of fun, travel and adventures in Uganda the pearl of Africa. The trip takes you to the wilderness of Murchison Falls national park and Queen Elizabeth national park homes of the works big cats. Not for getting visiting the primates in the jungle of kibale forest and an amazing encounter with the Batwa Pygmies.
Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer
At the airport, our driver guide will be waiting to receive you upon arrival. He will brief you about the trip movements as he transfers you to the hotel where you will spend the night. Depending on your time of arrival, drive at your convenience as the guide shows you around on some important buildings and spots. At the lodge, just have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Enjoy the morning breakfast at the lodge and head to Murchison falls national park. You will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongala district for white rhino trekking. Proceed to Masindi legendary town forlunch and then drive straight to your lodge in Murchison falls. Reaching will be in the evening just for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
The flickering sunrise will raise you up to a very yummy early morning breakfast. Head out for a game drive experience in Murchison falls national park. While in this experience, you stand a chance of spoting varies animal species which include among others lions, buffaloes, warthogs, oribis, topis, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Elephants and many others summing to over 75 mammal species. The game drive takes about 4hours.
Later in the afternoon, head for a boat cruise launch where you will sight the park’s main tourist attraction that is the Unique Murchison falls, as well the river Nile with its large number of crocodiles, and hippos along the sandbanks. Not forgetting some animals coming to drink water and bath. Then afterwards, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National park is recognized as one of the best destinations to spot about 13 primate species such as the chimpanzees. You will have full day drive with lunch stopover enroute and checking in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up to a very delicious breakfast served by a very hospitable professionals at you lodge. Then head for a memorable chimpanzee tracking exercise in kibale’s 795km2 national park, Here, you will walk through the tropical forest just to following the sweet sounds of the chimps, just to have a lifetime encounter with a number of chimpanzees having fun and carrying on their daily lives in the wilderness. After lunch head to Bigodi wetland where you will encounter various bird species and more primate species among others.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On having breakfast, drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. This is the prime home of mountain gorillas in Africa, with more than 700 mountain apes calling it a home. The journey gives you spectacular views of the Virunga ranges, the Kigezi highlands and the beautiful lush lying along the highway.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit
The bird melodies will wake you up for sweet breakfast. Then, you will report to parks sectors headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority park ranger guides who will guide you on the dos and don’ts of Gorilla trekking. After head for the trekking activities with the guides.
This can take 4-6 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas. After walking through the thick forest, in slippery trails and finding the mountain Gorillas, spend one hour in their presence watching them carry on their daily lives, feeding and jumping from one tree branch to the other. When the hour elapses, slope back to the headquarters and to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening you will encounter the Batwa pygmies for African cultural retreat. See how they used to hunt and gather fruits in the ancient days. Enjoy the traditional dances as well as tasting the local cuisines.
Day 8: Fly to Entebbe
Enjoy an early morning breakfast in your lodge and head for Kampala. Enjoy the nine hour journey with different stopovers at places of interest.
