Detailed Bwindi Gorilla Trek & Serengeti Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, our guide/representative will be there to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay and relaxation after the long flight.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and take a stroll around Kigali city.
Here you will visit the Kimironko Market, Genocide Memorial Centre, and interact with the locals.
Have lunch at local restaurants to taste the local cuisine, then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, known for its hundreds of endangered mountain gorillas.
Arrive and check into your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Community Visit
Have an early breakfast and head to the park visitor center for a gorilla trekking briefing.
You will be grouped into eights to visit a gorilla family per day.
The local guide will lead you to the silverbacks and the entire gorilla family in the dense forest where they reside.
According to the rules of gorilla trekking, you will spend one hour in the presence of the magnificent apes, watching their daily routines.
You can take as many pictures as you like, provided your camera does not have a flash.
Afterwards, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional medicine, agriculture, food, and handicrafts.
See how tourism has provided the Batwa with gainful employment, offering an alternative to their traditional hunting and gathering.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Travel Back to Kigali, Fly to Arusha, Then Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, we embark on the journey back to Kigali International Airport to connect to Arusha in Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to Serengeti National Park, one of the ten natural wonders of the world, known for its expansive savanna grasslands, the Big Five, and the great wildebeest migration.
You will arrive in the evening to check in, have dinner, and stay overnight.
Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Wake up early, have breakfast, and prepare your picnic lunch boxes before embarking on a comprehensive game drive through Serengeti National Park.
This drive allows you to fully experience the beauty and thrill of wildlife, with sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalos, cheetahs, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, rhinos, elephants, and many others.
In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Departure
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and drive to Arusha to catch your international flight back home.
This day marks the end of the six-day safari.
