Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Batwa Community Tour
Be received by our experienced driver guide upon arrival at the airport or be picked from the hotel where slept. The guide will briefly take you through the trip movements and then transfer you to the airstrip for your chartered or scheduled flight to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. On arrival at the lodge, check in and have some refreshments before embarking on a cultural retreat in the Batwa community to explore how they carry on their daily lives, enjoying the traditional performances and tasting the local cuisines.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
On this day, wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and go to the park headquarters. The local ranger guide will take you through the guidelines of gorilla trekking and divide you in groups of 8, the maximum number of people allowed to visit a gorilla family on a single day. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes about one to eight hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and the luck of the trekkers. You will spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas watching them and taking all the pictures that you want. In the afternoon return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha
On this day you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey roughly takes four hours, passing through the Ishasha sector, a famous home to the tree climbing lions as you head to central Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have an enroute lunch. Arriving at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park will be in the evening just for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise
In the morning, have breakfast and go for an early morning game drive. The drive exposes you to almost 90% of the 70 mammal species that call Queen Elizabeth national park a home. Sights of buffaloes, elephants, lions, warthogs, hyenas, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, antelopes, duikers, oribis and many others. In the afternoon you will have a boat cruise on Kazinga channel; the longest channel in the world. It joins Lake George and Lake Edward and it has the highest numbers of hippos in Africa. On the ride you will spot several aquatic animals like the crocodiles, seabirds and other mammals that come for drinking water in the afternoon.
Day 5: Fly back to Entebbe
In the morning, have breakfast, check out of the lodge and fly back to Entebbe. The guide who will receive you at the airstrip will either transfer you to the airport for your ongoing flight or to a hotel of your choice.
