Rest your most interesting adventure in the beautiful land of Uganda As you encounter the big five wildlife animals (Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes and Leopards), the impalas, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas, Warthogs among others in the four of the four of the ten national parks namely Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi National Impenetrable National Park, Lake Mburo national Park, and a relaxation moment in Lake Bunyonyi. And besides the experiences, you will also encounter the different cultures while enjoying the boat cruises.
Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, meet our expert tour guide at the airport. He will brief you about the whole trip as he transfers you to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay as you prepare for the next day.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy the morning breakfast at the lodge. Upon completion, checkout of the accommodation and embark on a long 6-7hour drive to Kibale national park via Fort portal for a lunch stop. Kibale forest national park is popular for its vast primates that call it a home. Over 1000 primates dwell here, making Kibale the primate capital of the world. At the park you will arrive in the evening to just check in at the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
On having breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a simple briefing about Chimp tracking in Kibale forest national park. The local ranger guide takes you through the dos and donts while tracking the chimps in the forest. Then you will enter into the forest to look out for the chimps. On meeting them, you spend one hour following and watching these beautiful primates in the forest carry on their daily lives. Remember that you can take many pictures of the chimps as long as the camera as no flash.
In the afternoon, after lunch and some relaxation at the lodge, go for a swamp walk in Bigodi wetland, here you will still spot several other primates like the colobus monkeys, baboons, grey checked monkeys as well as a number of bird species. The walk takes you so close to even the slightest insights of nature. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, waking up will be very early in the morning for breakfast and check out of the lodge. Start the four hour drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey furnishes spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains of the moon and Uganda’s country side. Drive at your convenience, having several stopovers for pictures at places of your interest. Arrival will be in the evening, for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Cruise
Have an early breakfast and go for a game drive through Queen Elizabeth national park. Being a home to over 70 mammal species, the drive is most likely to expose you to 90% of the wildlife species that reside here. Be sure of spotting elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, oribis, warthogs, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and many others. After lunch at the lodge, head out for a bout cruise on Kazinga channel. The channel joins two rift valley lakes of Lake George and Lake Edward, it is probably the longest channel in the world. Be guaranteed to spot huge masses of hippos, some crocodiles, water birds and animals that come for drinking water.
Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up to an early morning breakfast. And then, head for an early game drive where you stand a chance of spoting some a mazing wild animal in the wildness such as the elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards among others. Then have a picnic lunch and head to Bwindi impenetrable forest via the ishasha sector. Here, you will spot the unique tree climbing lions. Then proceed to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit
Setting out will be very early in the morning, obviously after breakfast. You will head to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking orientation. You will be taken through the dos and donts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Then be divided into groups of 8, the maximum number of trekkers allowed to visit a single gorilla family per day. Trekking the gorillas in Bwindi involves walking through the impenetrable forest, walking in unclearly paved trails just in the search of these mighty apes. On meeting them, spend one full hour just spectating how these beautiful apes carry on their daily lives. In the evening after lunch and relaxation, visit the Batwa community for a cultural retreat. These were the first inhabitats of the impenetrable forest. You will enjoy the cultural performances and the traditional cuisines.
Day 8: Morning Boat Cruise on Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will head for a morning boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. After this, drive to Lake Mburo national park, a home of zebras. The journey roughly takes 4 hours and 30 mins to reach the park. Lake Mburo national park is a home to several wildlife species that you will spot on a game drive. Upon arrival in the afternoon, just have lunch, relaxation and an evening game drive for sights of zebras, giraffes, impalas, elephants, buffaloes and many others. It’s an experience that is worth an evening.
Day 9: Morning Horseback Riding & Transfer back to Entebbe
Enjoy an early morning breakfast in your lodge and embark for Kampala, this journey that will reveal to beauty of the different towns, you will view many landscapes and enjoy nice atmosphere. You will also have an en route lunch in Mbarara town as you continue to Entebbe international airport for your flight back via Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
