This is one of the shortest trips in Uganda but taking you to the exclusive mountain gorillas that almost all world travelers are looking for. The trip stats and ends in Kigali Rwanda’s capital. Gorilla trekking will be done in Uganda and also meet the Batwa ancient people of the forest.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Be picked by a knowledgeable and experienced guide on arrival at Kigali international airport. Be briefed about the whole trip movements as you travel to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Enjoy this five hour journey having stunning views of the Virunga ranges. Have the cross border experience to Uganda and to Bwindi the prime home of mountain gorillas in Africa.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit
Today is the gorilla trekking day in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Waking up is very early in the morning for a delicious breakfast. From here proceed to the park head station to catch up with gorilla trekking briefing. Thelocal guide takes you through the guidelines of gorilla trekking in the forest. You will then enter the forest to track the mighty apes. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi involves walking in the impenetrable forest in slippery trails, without any support except from the tree branches and the arm stick. You will meet the gorillas and spend one hour with them. Nothing is more spectacular than meeting a gorilla family, watching the silverback directly in its red eyes and juveniles playing from one tree branch to the other.
In the evening, visit the Batwa community and experience the way of life of the reformed poachers before they were resettled outside the park. This evening, you will enjoy the cultural performances from the local people, taste the local cuisines as well as seeing the world through the eyes of the Batwa.
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali
Early morning, have breakfast and travel back to Kigali. That will be the end of the three days Bwindi safari from Kigali.
