Detailed 5-Day Fly-In Triple Gorilla Trekking Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Afternoon Batwa Tour
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport by your guide, who will brief you about the trip before transferring you to Kajjansi Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your luxury Uganda lodge and enjoy some refreshments. In the evening, take a short nature walk in the forest to see birds, butterflies, and tree species.
Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking Encounter and Transfer to Nkuringo Sector
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the ranger guide. You will then begin your trek through the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Along the way, you may see other primates such as black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons, and several bird and butterfly species.
When you find the gorillas, spend one hour watching them as they move, feed, and play in the forest. After the trek, transfer to the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Rushaga Sector
After breakfast, return to the park headquarters for another gorilla trekking briefing. Like before, you will be divided into groups of eight trekkers and assigned a different gorilla family to visit. Spend one hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat before heading back to your lodge. Later, transfer to the Rushaga sector for lunch and relaxation.
Day 4: Third Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have an early breakfast and set off for your third and final gorilla trek. Each trekking experience offers something new, as you meet a different gorilla family in another part of the forest. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake with more than 25 small islands. The journey offers beautiful views of the Virunga mountain ranges and the green countryside.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. The canoe trip takes you around several islands, including Punishment Island, where girls who became pregnant before marriage were once left as punishment.
Day 5: Fly Back to Entebbe
After breakfast, transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe. This marks the end of your 5-day triple gorilla trekking safari in Uganda.
