The lodge is located near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to a large population of endangered mountain gorillas. Along with Rwanda’s Virunga National Park, it shelters more than 1,000 species of plants and animals, many of which are unique to this region. Bwindi Forest also holds deep cultural value for the Batwa people, who consider it their ancestral home. Visitors have the chance to learn about their traditions, stories, and ways of life.

Asilia has devoted great effort to supporting the Batwa and Bakiga communities by helping them preserve their cultural heritage and create sustainable sources of income. Tourists who stay at Erebero Hills often visit these communities to buy crafts and learn about their customs, which helps improve local living standards.

To attract more visitors and strengthen its conservation efforts, Erebero Hills is building a new lodge on 45 acres of land. The project also includes a reforestation program to expand the natural habitat for mountain gorillas. So far, 25,000 native trees have been planted with help from the Batwa people. To promote eco-friendly living, the new lodge structures are being built using locally sourced bamboo from nearby farms.

The name “Erebero” means “a place where you can see far,” a fitting description for a destination that combines comfort, culture, and conservation.

Dream big at Asilia Erebero Hills.
