The trek begins early at 7 a.m. after a heavy breakfast prepared by experienced chefs. If you plan to spend a long day in the forest, lunch boxes are packed for you. Before starting, you will receive a briefing about what to do and what to avoid during the trek. Children below 15 years are not allowed to take part because they may find it difficult to follow the rules or may wander off.

Birdwatching is one of the favorite activities for visitors at Bisate Reserve. The peaceful environment makes it ideal for observing birds. Guests are advised to stay quiet, as loud noises can scare the birds away. The wet season is the best time for birdwatching because it is their breeding period, and many species can be seen. After the activities, your guide will lead you back to Bisate Lodge, which can host only 12 guests in six spacious suites. Each suite offers beautiful views of the forest and the distant volcano summits, which can be seen clearly through binoculars. The en suite bathrooms are designed for comfort, with bathtubs and showers that provide both hot and cold water.
