Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, check out and begin your 6-7-hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park, with a lunch stop in Fort Portal. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, have dinner, and rest for the night.

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. The ranger guide will explain the dos and don’ts before you enter the forest to look for chimpanzees. When you find them, spend one hour observing their behavior and taking pictures without flash.
In the afternoon, after lunch and some relaxation, go for a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This community-managed area is rich in birdlife and primates such as colobus monkeys and baboons. The walk offers a close experience with nature. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
